The Australian event concluded Wine Around the World for Taylor, a series of extraordinary wine tastings in exclusive settings. The Australia evening was proceeded by tastings dedicated to the vintages of France, Italy and Spain, all held at different locations in the distinctive Myers Park and Cotswold areas of Charlotte, North Carolina. Guests purchased border passes for admission to one tasting or passports for admission to all four events. Wines were offered for sale during all tastings, and a portion of the proceeds were donated to Taylor's Tale.

Wine Around the World for Taylor: Australia took place at the home of Linda and Craig Weisbruch in the Myers Park area. Select cheeses and other hors d'oeuvres indigenous to Australia were served. Cupcakes were also served to celebrate the birthday of Sharon King, Taylor's mother. The generous gifts of the hostesses, guests and others who supported the event will help grant Sharon's birthday wish and the wish of all of us at Taylor's Tale to find a cure for Batten disease.
